Founded in 1968 by Frédéric Duchatelet, our car dealership is a house, in the noblest sense of the word. We are proudly Belgian and located in the city of Liege. Our country is well known for its rich history in craftsmanship and manufacturing.

Far away from mass and series production of the previous 50 years, we maintain the sense of the individual by providing prestigious automobiles. Our sedans, limousines and off-road have the highest level of security, exclusivity, comfort and technical excellence unique in the sector.

Thanks to this principle, we are internationally recognized as the world leader in manufacturing specialty vehicles in the automotive industry.

We do understand individuality as we know every person is unique. Our customers are integral to us, therefore they deserve only the highest grade vehicles.

A Carat Duchatelet car is more than just a car. It is a piece of art that represents the perfect harmony between the most traditional automotive craftsmanship and up-to-date technologies.

For over fifty years as master coachbuilders, we have been leaders in our profession and we are motivated by the quest for the ultimate excellence. Being as perfectionists, second best is never good enough for us.

Our constant quest for unparalleled quality and our strive for your complete satisfaction are have become our corporate culture.

Harmoniously combining exclusivity with security is well describing our philosophy.

Frédéric Duchatelet, the owner of a small automobile workshop, founded Carat Duchatelet in 1968. He began to picture alternative fittings for outstanding vehicles.

The young crafter achieved an international recognition initially focusing on the S Class Mercedes-Benz. Little to little, the company included other high-end vehicles such as Rolls Royce and Bentley.

Our first business cars to launch gained immediate recognition from a sophisticated and cosmopolitan clientele.

By way of exemple, we made the one-off Lexus LS600h Landaulet, specially engineered and produced for the Royal Wedding of Prince of Monaco in 2011.

A tremendous list of accomplishments over 50 years !

“Strive for perfection in everything you do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, design it.”
