From metal sheet to electronics, mechatronics, suspensions, braking system, saddlery, woodwork and cabinetry, the extent of our competences and expertise allows us the complete design and follow-up of special projects dedicated to OEM’s.
Carat Duchatelet in-house R&D and workshop dedicated to production of prototypes is a great asset when it comes to efficiency with flexibility and costs control.
From the design of the smallest accessory to production small series of specific vehicles, Carat Duchatelet first listen to OEM’s expectations and translate them into real projects combining latest technologies with automotive traditions we kept the know-how about.
Development and production are carried out using Catia v5 software making exchanges of CAD files and datas easy and reliable.

Sub-assemblies and Specific Equipments
Carat Duchatelet internally designs and produces sub-assemblies for OEM as well as specific equipments such as consoles and cabinets, working tables, division walls between front and rear compartments, etc…
One of our major skill is mechanical improvement calculation.
Prototypes and small-series
We are a human-sized company with high-skilled engineers and technicians.
This allows for fast design and production of prototype or small series of special vehicles for OEM’s.
In 2011 we designed and produced the one-off Lexus L600h Landaulet in close cooperation with Lexus Europe for His Serene Highness Prince Albert of Monaco’s wedding with Mrs Charlene Wittstock.
The close collaboration between Lexus and our engineers made it possible to reach a level of technical quality rarely equalled on a unique vehicle in the world, thus proving our competences in

2) Development of the technical answer to bring to them

With its 50 years of experience of armouring of passengers’ sedans, limousines and SUV’s, Carat Duchatelet is the perfect partner to OEM looking for design and production in small series of one of their models.

On OEM’s request Carat Duchatelet may offer official dealer a sales support dedicated to armoured vehicles.
